no point in retracing a step
a head can lift so high then
low and flow and devour and plant
seeds that travel on a word
of love
active in the underbrush
tiny feet and synapses know where to traverse
stomping so loud that we are stupefied
mushy, messy, mind map mental images, shaping
galaxies that crave when billions of cells light up like an ocean glimmer
curves, crashing, to call on magic
gain and miss witnessed
a heart discovered through ebbs and flows
syllabic signposts that make us lose touch
while the world we walk on returns home
